Use the following steps to get VitalAAA installed on your system.
Check to make sure that the operating system is a currently supported platform from the list below.
Sun Microsystems - Solaris SPARC & x86: Releases 2.7 through 2.9
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Hewlett Packard - HP-UX release 11.0
Microsoft - Windows 2000, XP, Server 2000 & Server 2003
Apple - Macintosh OS X: 10.2 through 10.4
Before you can install VitalAAA, the Sun Java Virtual Machine must be installed on your system. This is typically called the Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) version 5.0 (also known as version 1.5.0). Both the J2SE JDK and the JRE are supported. If you do not have Version 5.0 (or later) of Java, follow the link below to obtain a copy:
In 2005, the United States government passed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This act changes the start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) as of spring 2007. DST will start on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November. In 2007, the start and stop dates will be March 11 and November 4, respectively.
Several other countries are making similar changes. In addition, other countries are still evaluating whether they will adopt the new rules for themselves. You should anticipate more changes in DST and time zone rules for countries that typically align with U.S. DST rules.
The changes to DST may impact VitalAAA. For those impacted, you may need to update your operating system and version of Java.

In order to run VitalAAA you need a valid server license. If you already have a 5.x license, continue to step 5. Otherwise, Please contact your Alcatel-Lucent Account Rep for more information.
Download a copy of the VitalAAA software using the links provided below.
VitalAAA 5.2.12 is the current 5.x build available for download.
Both the zip and tar versions of the software are identical and will run on all supported platforms. Pick the version that will be easiest for you to download and unpack on your system. All versions now include a bundled Java Database.
