 SNMP version 3
snmp authorization and privacy

I see the option for SNMP version 3 in the SMT, but does it support MD5/SHA authentication? How about DES/3DES/AES encryption? Does it support USM per RFC3411? If a write string is not coded, does that restrict the agent to read-only?

Probably, you've seen the SMT panel related to the SNMP in server_properties.

There's another tab under 8950AAA Operators for SNMPv3_users, where you can configure MD5 or SHA1 for authentication, as well as DES or AES for encryption. I think this panel would answer your doubts about the v3 support

I'm not sure about this, but I think 8950AAA only implements the readonly OIDs of the MIBs related to RADIUS (which is 99,99% of the OIDs of those MIBs)

Thanks Pedro...I did not see that in the documentation. That does answer my questions.
