8950 AAA Release Version 6.6.1

  8950 AAA Release Version 6.6.1
8950 AAA version 6.6.1 has been released and is now available for download from http://www.8950aaa.com/ at this time. Version 6.6.1 is a maintenance release and is available to all licensed version 6.x customers at no additional charge. Please note that not all features are available with some licenses.

Changes in release 6.6.1 since release 6.5.2 by release are as follows:

  • Issues Addressed:
    • ID: 6105 - Internal Security: When a client access rule is specified, but not matched, the authorization should fail.
    • ID: 6118 - LTE-eHRPD sample: Improved TAL error checking broke extra AVP processing.
    • ID: 6126 - SMT: Starting the servers from the SMT fails to create the *_stdout.log file.
    • ID: 6132 - aaa-gnrt: NewRadiusTool in GUI mode leaks memory if the nasload scenario is aborted.
    • ID: 6135 - SMT: USSv2 Diameter State changes always display as zero.
    • ID: 6136 - aaa-gnrt: NewRadiusTool in GUI mode does not always detect the test completion when the test completes too quickly.
    • ID: 6141 - Logging: The message text regex pattern in log rules never matched.
    • ID: 6144 - Dictionary: 'overwrite' attribute broken. Regression introduced by ID 5136.
    • ID: 6146 - aaa-exec launcher(unix): Macros that invoke macros can cause an extra copy of the class name on the generated command line.
    • ID: 6148 - SMT: When signing onto a different server, server statistics for USSv2 did not notice the server change.
    • ID: 6149 - USSv2: When a model runs with more than 2 nodes, if the dictionary that maps attribute names to ordinals was different from node to node, perhaps do to upgrades, entry decode could fail because only one neighbors dictionary would be used.
    • ID: 6157 - Ldap plug-in: Only one referral was available from a response.
    • ID: 6159 - USSv2: A memory leak could occur with short lived sessions.

    • ID: 5539 - Engine stats: Change counters to 64 bit to avoid overflow. Counters are visible with the 'diag engine stats' AI command.
    • ID: 5917 - Installer: Installation of Sample Set in Upgrade doesn't remove existing the '.ast' file.
    • ID: 5959 - Stats Reporting: ThisWeek and LastWeek time range display one week ahead of desired if Sunday is not the 'first' day of the week in server locale.
    • ID: 5971/6042 - USSv2: Entry sync-up when there are more than 2 nodes serving a model instance can fail.
    • ID: 5997 - RadiusStateUpdate plug-in: 'Allocation-Failure = FAILURE' not honored.
    • ID: 6004 - Ldap WorkItems: Don't contribute to engine statistics.
    • ID: 6007 - NewRadiusTool: ServerScenario hangs tool.
    • ID: 6010 - Collector: Can not collect method stats if method name has a '.' in it.
    • ID: 6011 - Ldap plug-in: Referrals don't work.
    • ID: 6012 - USSv2: RealTime persistence fails when more than 2G entries.
    • ID: 6034 - SMT: Error reading collector def if method editor not opened.
    • ID: 6037 - SMT: Support packager errors if PF file name contains 'user' and user files are present.
    • ID: 6043 - Ldap WorkItems: Should be added to the 'normal' item queue, not the 'background' item queue.
    • ID: 6046 - SMT: Client-Timeout is missing from Radius Client Configuration.
    • ID: 6053 - Reports: Can not generate reports for data in files based on method names with '_'s.
    • ID: 6061 - SMT Broker Pools/Counters: New pools not taken into account until PolicyServer is restarted.
    • ID: 6114 - TLS Stack: Don't send an alert when processing a TLS 1.2 record sent by a client. The stack should attempt to negotiate fallback to TLS 1.1.
    • ID: 6120 - TLS stack: TLS message state is not thread safe.
    • ID: 6125 - WiMAx Assistant: If user fails to configure disconnect options then Disconnect-Requests cause errors.
    • ID: 6127 - Log Rules: Regex matching for item conditions never match.

    • ID: 6054 - aaa launcher (unix): Does not honor the '-waitPid' value in the aaa-exec.cfg file.
    • ID: 6083 - RadiusTool(new): Hangs if the localAddress property sets the address to a specific (non-loopback) interface.
    • ID: 6090 - W3/W4 WiMAX: Remove MAC address activation change.
    • ID: 6091 - Various plug-ins: Property enumerations that are based on dictionary attributes did not normalize dynamic input before comparing.
    • ID: 6092 - PA: PolicyFlow always tries the secondary LDAP server upon error even there is not one defined.

    • ID: 6013 - WiMAX W3/WiMAX Assistant: Compensate for W3 vs W4 (In W3 mode) WAC differences in Session ID handling.

  • Issues Addressed:
    • ID: 5974 - USS2: Spurious errors during reconciliations with more than one remote node.
    • ID: 5989 - Engine: Can not decode WiMAX attribute if unknown group value present.
